*Massachusetts Music Educators Central District (CDMMEA) Music Festival

Wind and percussion students in grades 7 and 8 may audition in January for a spot in the Central District Concert Band,
Jazz Band or Orchestra. Students accepted to this festival must be able to commit to all April rehearsals for the festival.

**Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association Concert Festival (MICCA)

The MICCA festivals encourage the improvement of an ensembles musical standards by providing musical adjudication by highly qualified
directors/musicians, as well as affording students the opportunity to hear performances by other ensembles and experience the presentation of a
wide variety of music literature. Participating groups are evaluated on the merit of their performance in a non-competitive setting, and awards are
presented based on a medals system. Symphony Band members participate in this music festival.
