ASSIGNMENT – VIDEO PRESENTATION
INSTRUCTION : Please prepare one (1) VIDEO presentation describing about one (1) of the
following topics.
1. The First Law of Thermodynamics describes about the conservation of energy. Explain in
details one system that applies this law and discuss how the system benefits to the
environment or human.
2. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states about entropy and cyclic process. Elaborate and
discuss its applications in refrigerator and heat engine. Explain how entropy and heat
changed in these equipment.
3. Corrosion is one of the major problems in a chemical plant. Describe in details about the
process of how corrosion can be occurred and explain how corrosion can be alleviated
especially in chemical plant.
5. One of the most common ways that Nernst Equation is used in a galvanic cell is in measuring
and monitoring of concentrations. Explain in details how the Nernst Equation is useful in
determination of pH of a solution.
6. Define rate law. How do factors such as concentration, temperature, a different reactant and
surface area affect the rate of reaction between vinegar (acetic acid) and sodium bicarbonate?
