OUTLINE: ALCOHOL ON THE HUMAN BODY

I. INTRODUCTION
HOOK: It is common drink a glass of wine or a couple of beers at a party or lunch.
But do you know what happens to your body if you abuse this substance?
BACKGROUND: Alcohol is highly addictive and causes health problems in people
who consume it.
THESIS STATEMENT: Alcohol should be banned because it causes alcoholism
and increases physical and mental deterioration in the bodies of people who
consume this addictive substance.

II. FIRST MAIN IDEA

COUNTERARGUMENT AND ARGUMENT: While it is true that every person has
the right to decide what do with his own life but what if that person is a pregnant
woman? The risk of complications associated with alcohol consumption is
particularly important for pregnant women.
SUPPORT 1: Drinking alcohol during pregnancy is the leading preventable cause
of birth defects and developmental disabilities in children, says the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention in California, USA.
SUPPORT 2: A study published last year by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention found that fetal alcohol syndrome generally reflects the way in
which alcohol affects central nervous system development, as well as the growth of
the heart, eyes, legs, arms, teeth, ears, palate, and external genitalia.
SUPPORT 3: Roughly 2.6 million infants suffer significant intrauterine alcohol
exposure each year, with the treatment and care of these children (including
services for profound mental retardation) incurring a national cost of $746 million
annually.
 III. SECOND MAIN IDEA
COUNTERARGUMENT AND ARGUMENT: Although many people claim that
drinking a daily glass of wine is healthy for the human body, it can also be argued
that people who drink continually develop serious physical problems.
SUPPORT 1: If you drink more than your body can process, you’ll get drunk.
SUPPORT 2: “This is one of the primary reasons why people who prefer to drink
alcohol can experience a heart failure” The Doctor Travis Orson says.
SUPPORT 3: According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism,
alcohol constantly burns the throat of the drinker in may result in severe pain,
vomiting and even cancer.

IV. THIRD MAIN IDEA

COUNTERARGUMENT AND ARGUMENT: Many people believe that it is good
consume alcohol to relax and to combat the effects of stress. However, it must also
be recognized that when a person abuses alcohol begins to experience mental
deterioration.
SUPPORT 1: A survey for the Forbes Magazine found almost two-thirds of people
aged 30-45 drank alcohol to unwind in the third quarter on 2015.
SUPPORT 2: Recent studies of the University of Philadelphia mention as the brain
of a person under alcohol dependency does not have enough vitamins it turns out
to be the first step to the beginning of mental retardation.
SUPPORT 3: “As alcohol destroys the central nervous system the drinker
experiences impaired visual abilities, loss of pain perception, slow reactions,
impaired motor skills, altered perception of time and space and many others” The
Doctor John Williams says.

V. CONCLUSION
Many people claim that there is no a better cure than alcohol abstention. However,
it must be recognized that to end from the root with this social problem, alcohol
should be banned because it is just as dangerous as any other drug.
