From the Secretary’s Desk

This is to notify you of my intention to
introduce, at the October 14th stated meeting and
in compliance with Grand Lodge edicts, a proposal
to amend our By-laws regarding annual dues from
the current assessment of $45 annually, to the sum
of $25 plus the Per Capita sum approved by the
Grand Lodge at the previous Annual
Communication, with the total thus determined
rounded up to the next higher whole multiple of $5
per annum, payable in advance on the first day of
January. If approved, this would make 2011 dues a
total of $60 per member. The current dues structure
will not support increasing costs as well as declining
membership and interest rates earned on our
investments. We have ten Life Members for whom
we pay Per Capita fees, and currently 6 who have
not paid 2010 dues as of this date, and will be
presented for suspension if their dues are not
brought current with the 2011 dues billings. Please
give this proposal serious consideration.
