        are his sons after him.”

the other) and be emotionally intimate.

• Sacrificial care

• Emotional openness

Ephesians 5:25—“Husbands love your wives, as Christ


loved the church and gave himself up for her.”

D. Face. #4: ___FRIEND______________________________________________.

Proverbs 17:51—“A friend loves at all times, and a


brother is born for adversity”

Proverbs 27:17—“As iron sharpens iron, so one man 
sharpens another.” 

III. Some Important Observations About These Four Faces

A. Too often, these honorable faces of manhood are replaced by Ugly Charicatures:

• King Face—too much, Tyrant—too little Abdicator

• Warrior Face—too much, Destroyer—too little, Wimp

• Lover Face—too much, Critical and Harsh—too little, cold and


Withdrawn

• Friend Face—too much, User—too little, Loner

The issue is balance of these four faces

B. Because of our morally-compromised culture, many men today lack a _King face.
Without a _King face___________, the _____Warrior face_________ becomes
unrestrained, hurting lives, including his own, in the process.

C. Our increasingly feminized culture has emasculated the ___Warrior____ in


many young men. The result has been the creation of the __soft male___,
