1st Nine Weeks: Real Numbers, Exponents
and Scientific Notation, Linear Equations
2nd Nine Weeks: Linear Equations,
Functions, Linear Relationships
3rd Nine Weeks: Scatter Plots and Data,
Systems of Equations, Transformations
4th Nine Weeks: Angle Relationships,
Pythagorean Theorem, Volume
NOTE: Due to this being an honors class, the
rigor will be increased, additional material will
be taught, and expectations will be higher!

Students will not have homework every
night. However, when students do have
homework I expect them to complete it.
Math is only learned when practiced and
applied!
Most work will be able to be completed in
class if students use their time wisely. The
exception to this would be studying for a
quiz or test. Some work may need to be
done outside of classes to finish a review or
get extra practice with a concept that is
difficult for the student.
If students do not complete
work during class, in the time
allotted, it will be assigned as
homework so students can
adhere to the determined
deadlines.

Weekly and daily work will be updated weekly
(bell ringers, participation, and quizzes). Please
check grades regularly on iNow and feel free to
ask me any questions that you might have
about a particular grade.
Grades will be out of point values (0-100). The
average will be based on projects, quizzes, tests,
bell ringers, assignments, classwork, and
homework
If you are absent, you are responsible for
completing your make-up work (three days for
make-up for each day absent).
All make-up work will be placed in the makeup
work bin and your name will be written on any
work you missed. It is your responsibility to ask a
classmate or me for help on making up any
assignments, and/or to meet with me to make
up any tests, quizzes, or projects.
If you know you are going to be absent
beforehand, you should ask me for your make-
up work before the absence. This can be done
before or after school or via e-mail.
