B.A.T. 11 – ALFA ROMEO (2008) See-Through-model


Stile Bertone debut at the AutoDesignNight in Geneva with the amazing BAT 11 concept,
commissioned by American enthusiast Gary Kaberle who owned the original 1955 BAT 9 car. Based
on a modified Alfa Romeo 8C platform, the BAT 11 continues some of the distinguishing elements of
the original 'Berlinetta Aerodynamica Tecnica' cars designed by Franco Scaglione and developed by
Nuccio Bertone.

BARCHETTA - FIAT (2007) Prototype


Bertone presents the Barchetta concept car in celebration of its 95th anniversary. The Barchetta is based
on the floorpan and mechanicals of the Fiat Panda 100 HP. Bertone’s choice of the Fiat brand to
celebrate its 95th anniversary was a natural choice, because of the historical relationship between the
two companies which has lasted for more than eighty years and has generated more than fifty highly
successful models among concept cars, one-offs and production cars, from the 850 Spider to the X1/9,
from the Ritmo Cabrio to the Punto Cabrio.

around the Fiat Grande Punto, the Bertone Suagnà opens another chapter in the long-running
collaboration between Bertone and the Fiat brand which, in over ninety years, has produced more than
45 models, one-off proposals, concept cars and mass-produced cars.

A coupé constructed on the basis of the BMW Z8 from which it takes its V8 (400 HP) engine and the
aluminium chassis with a wheelbase which has been increased by 30 cm. Numerous high-tech features:
two piece glass roof with vocal commands, infra-red sight for night driving and a Segway in the rear
trunk.

IDEAL – CHANGHE (2002) Production


Evolution of its successful predecessor of the same name, the Ideal II offers an improved habitability and
performance with a much sweeter design made by Bertone. The exterior has grown larger headlamps and
more volume is given to the body-side, aided by the groove feature. Thick A-posts give further strength to
the design, framing the clean window graphic and holding in place the deep roof.

HYWIRE - GM (2002) Prototype


Eliminating all the mechanical controls frees up the space where an engine would normally reside; in the
Hy-wire prototype you can see straight through the front of the car. Without a steering column, designers
can place the controls anywhere in the car for maximum comfort and safety‹even in the backseat. The
heart of the Hy-wire, however, is the aluminium, skateboard-like chassis that runs the length of the vehicle.
Nestled within it are the fuel cells, an electric motor, tanks of compressed hydrogen and all the electronics.
