LETTER

Dear Ann Roberson

I am writing on behalf of Amado Nervo School, where I am an English teacher.
My most sincerely apologies for not informing you about this personally. The
purpose of this letter is to invite you to attend to our talent show contest,
which is going to take place in the school´s auditory next week.

Perhaps you have realized that we are in urgent need of an English laboratory
and due to we are a non-profit school, we need your assistance so as to raise
the necessary funds. The contest will be at 9:00 am. The main aim of this event
is not just to raise enough donations to have the space ready but also to buy
the necessary materials such as: a whiteboard, dictionaries, some chairs and
even some flashcards and wallcharts.

I would like to say that this is just the first step of many more, since we have
been working on this project for about four months, students are very keen on
the activities they are being carrying out. Those activities include from ballet
lessons, chess tournaments, dancing lessons to singing tips for very beginners.
We do really hope you and your family can attend and contribute with this
humble cause bearing in mind that the benefits your children will have are
worthy the investment.
