Follow the steps of the Hyperdoc below.  
This will be graded as an assignment for your English class.

1. Get Started 
 
● Use headphones or earbuds and ​watch this video 
  about the library. 
 
 

2. Dig Deeper 
 
● Open the orientation questions by ​clicking here 
● Keep both tabs open. Answer the orientation  
questions by searching the pages of the website.  
Submit your answers. 
● Ask Mrs. Reiswig if you get stuck. 
 
 

3. Enter at Your Own Risk! 


 
● Click here​ to see where you stand 
● Complete this scavenger hunt by ​clicking here 
● Think about your favorite book. Open a Google 
search window and find an image of the book cover. 
Download or save the image to the desktop → then 
  paste the book cover image on this ​Padlet wall​. Use the 
pink plus sign at the bottom right → then in the post box  
click the + sign.

  Be sure you get to Synergy by going through  


EGHS website! 
 
● Go to Synergy on the Elk Grove High School  
webpage: ​www.eghs.egusd.net​ (always use Chrome) 
● Choose​ Synergy​ ---> ​StudentVue

● Log on using the same username and  


password you used to log on to computer.  
● Click each of the tabs on the left side of  
your Synergy page to explore. 
● Close your StudentVue window  
 
 
 

   5. Set Up Your Google Drive 


 
  To be successful in school you’ll need to be organized.   
  Follow these steps to organize your ​Google Drive​: 
   
​ ww.drive.google.com​ and sign in 
● Go to w
○ username = your ​ID#@egusd.net 
○ Password = the same password you use  
  for the computer and Synergy 
   
  ◆ Drive is like your HOMEpage for Google. 
◆ The waffle icon in the top right has all of 
your Google work:    
◆ Click the​ NEW​ button in the upper left to 
  create a FOLDER for each of your classes  
(not PE). Label them by name: (English, Geography. 
Science) 
◆ Create another folder for all of your old documents  
and label it: ​Old Stuff ​or​ Middle School 
◆ Give them colors if you like (right click on 
the folder) 
◆ Drag​ any documents you have in your Drive  
to the correct folder!  
◆ Now you’re organized like a boss!
