Why is Germany the best country?
I think Canada is better than Germany because citizenship you can have two
citizenships like your country citizenship and Canadian citzenship. CONS OF
CANADA : life there expensive but not all cities and jobs not easy to find. Canadian
dollar weaker than Euro .low discrimination in Canada. Two officials languages
:English and French. You get Canadian citizenship in 4 years.
Germany : cheaper than most European countries. better passport than Canadian
passport for travel more countries . Freedom of movement and work, live in
European countries without visa .If you are German. Currency Euro great. You get
citizenship after 8 years staying in Germany and only one citizenship. no dual
citizenships. Jobs good there. A lot of discrimination in Germany. They don't like
foreigners. German language is harder than English or French. Canada and Germany
taxes a lot .but more on Germany....

It probably depends on who you are and what your values are. Both are among the
best places in the world to live, and both share many qualities such as a commitment
to liberal values, moderate fairly stable politics, etc. Germany is a much more rules
based society, while Canada has a much more laissez faire view on society and
economics. If you are an immigrant, I would suspect Canada to be the better option.
It is a county of immigrants and has large diverse immigrant populations. Germany
is much more conservative when it comes to immigration, and pretty miserly when it
comes to offering citizenship to non Germans. Germany's immigrant population is
also much less diverse than Canada's so if you aren't Turkish, Syrian, or Eastern
European, you may find it even harder to fit in.

The report says, “People regard the European country highly for its citizenship, being
open for business, an environment that encourages entrepreneurship, the quality of
life it provides its citizens and for its cultural influence.”
Canada took the No. 2 spot in the best countries ranking, followed by the U.K.,
Germany, Japan, Sweden and then the U.S. The United States has fallen to
seventh place in a ranking from its previous No. 4 ranking of the best countries in the
world. In 2016, Germany was in top place, followed by Canada, the U.K., the U.S.,
Sweden, Australia and Japan. Switzerland was one of 20 new countries evaluated this
year.
Sweden was at rank 6, one spot down from 2016, followed by the United States at
number 7 (rank 4 in 2016), Australia at 8th (rank 6 in 2016), France at 9 (8 in

I think this question really depends on who you are regardless if you are an
immigrant or not. Eventhough canada is an immigrant friendly nation and germany
is percieved as a racist nation on a global platform, I doubt all immgrants feel the
same. As a german born Keralite myself, I have met many first generation German
Keralite immigrants in Toronto who have migrated from Germany that were
educated in Germany, spoke fluent German and had excellent jobs there found it very
difficult to integrate into the canadian society due to language barrier, difficulty in
finding employment in their speicifc fields and to adjust to an open multicultural
lifestyle. Many of these german keralite ethnic groups tend to move back to Germany
or other german speaking countries such as cities like Dusseldorf, Koln, Munich,
Zurich etc after spending just a few years in cities like Toronto.

I've only visited Germany but if you are interested in Diversity and cultural exposure,
I' say move to Germany. It' not that you get that within Germany but it''s in an easier
reach. Canada is HUGE. You sometimes have to travel far and spend a lot of money
to get different experiences. I could see three countries in Europe in the same time it
takes to get to one tip of Nova Scotia to the other.
Plus not all Provinces are equal. Getting work for decent wages in some Provinces is
far easier than others. Your skills might be highly valued in Alberta but unrecognized
or exploited in Nova Scotia.
I' say go where you have the best job offer. Don' come to Canada thinking you will
just get a great job. Unless you are already recruited, it can be difficult especially for
immigrants. We have a hire Canadians first policy. Unless you are Canadian or a
permanent resident there are hoops employers need to jump through that they won'
bother to if there are available Canadians.
