Chapter Nine Attack Using Sound

Sound is a truly amazing principle, but like colour is it straight forward. There are 3 primary
types of sound to be considered. I will cover them all here. Sounds work best when they are held
like a musical note.
1. Healing Sounds
2. Destructive Sounds
3. Directional Sounds

The Healing Sounds tie into Chi Building and are listed below with the direction they represent.
He is a list of the healing directional sounds:

 A – Arms going out to the side (right and left)

 E- Arms coming across the body)
 I - (pronounced Ah)- Arms going up
 O- Straight out (Arms going straight out)
 U - (Pronounced YOU) – Arms going down
 Ning- Arms going back and down at 45 degrees

These are the basic healing sounds and can be used to build Chi. If you do these make sure you
are facing NORTH. Regardless of where you are on this earth. Do not do these sounds if you
have been consuming alcohol as you will become quite sick.

Destructive Sounds
Each destructive sound is linked to an element and then to a meridian because of the element
link. This is a very powerful principle and needs to be practiced with caution. Included in this
chart are the directional sounds also.

SOUND ELEMENT MERDIDIAN

Ki (key) FIRE Heart and Small Intestine
Hee FIRE Pericardium and Triple
Warmer
Cee (See) METAL Lung and Large Intestine
Shoo (shoe) WOOD Gall Bladder and Liver
Her EARTH Stomach and Spleen
Chu (Chew) WATER Bladder and Kidney
Ah (ahhhh) No Element CONCEPTION &
GOVERNOR VESSELS
Ki-Ah All Elements Universal sound for ALL
Meridians
OH (ohhh) Directional Sound
FORWARD
Kyu Directional Sound for DOWN
Sho (show) Directional sound for UP

There is your breakdown, now for how best to use these in application! At the beginning levels
with sound I suggest using the direction first. An example is the sound “kyu” which is for down.
Apply a wrist lock and as pressure is being added say “kyu” loudly and HOLD IT. Next have
your Uki put you in a wrist lock and do it hard enough to bring you to your knees. Use SHO to
stand back up while the pressure is still on.
With the destructive sounds, you use them directly on the element in which you are attacking.
So, if I am striking LI-10 I am going to use the metal sound Cee (see). It for the element, it is not
used like in the Cycle of Destruction where you might take metal to wood. However, you can
“chain” sounds together to get a really great affect!

An example someone grabs your left wrist. You step in and strike at LU-06 and add the sound
cee. Next you move to GB-24 and use the word Shoo (shoe). This can all be spoken during the
striking like “did you CEEE my Shoeees?” Just time the strikes with the sounds.
Get the idea? This is how you can also “link” sound with the Cycle of Destruction or any other
principle for that matter! Now I do advise caution when doing this as sound enhances the affect
on the points and meridians many times over. Especially if you are good at holding notes and
projecting the sound at the meridian. In practice, I rarely stack sounds. But I will often use the
“Wood” sound “shoo” to get a body knockout!
Note: Care needs to be given to avoid dangerous points like TW-23, SP-21, TW-17 when using
sound. You could end up with a disaster on your hands. These are great for life and death
situations, but not so good for demonstrations.
There is a well know Kyusho Master who likes to strike TW-23. It does make an excellent
knockout. However, the risk of damage to the eye and breaking of the ocular bone are very high.
I suggest using a safer point.

Vessel Sound
The sound “Ahhh,” which is the Vessel Sound is also an excellent one to work with. I have used
it for aid in “no touch knockouts” on several occasions. Essentially it weakens the Vessel,
lowering the energy for a strike. Using this sound, I suggest avoiding CO-14 and CO-17 being
that they Alarm Points for Pericardium and Heart. I will tie these sounds in during the Alarm
Point Chapter.

Universal Sound
Ki-Ah is the universal sound. It covers fire and the vessels. When in doubt about which sound to
use “Ki-ah” will effectively attack everything to some degree! Being a generic sound it is safer
then the others, but still extremely affective!

As you become comfortable with using sound you can stop saying them. When you are reading
something, like this eBook your vocal cords vibrate with each syllable you read. Talking is a
function of the vocal cord vibrating the air passing through them. Many people think it is the
other way around. So, thinking the sound will still work! But, you do need to have some passion
in your thought processes. Yell the sound in your mind.
Try it!
