STEPS TO STOP/START ORACLE DATABASE, DATABASE LISTENER, FIREWALL

WHILE STOPING THE LINUX SERVER

NOTE: YOU HAVE TO TYPE COMMANDS HIGHLIGHTED IN GREEN

1. USE THE BELOW COMMAND TO STOP THE LISTENER

[oracle@UBDATA ~]$ lsnrctl stop LISTENER

2. USE THE BELOW COMMAND TO STOP THE DATABASE

[oracle@UBDATA ~]$ sqlplus sys/syspwd as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 12.1.0.2.0 Production on Sat Sep 1 17:37:02 2018

Copyright (c) 1982, 2014, Oracle. All rights reserved.

Connected to an idle instance.

SQL> shut immediate

Wait till the database is shutdown……..then stop the server.

WHILE STARTING THE LINUX SERVER

1. USE THE BELOW COMMAND TO START THE DATABASE

3. USE THE BELOW COMMAND TO START THE LISTENER
