FACTOR

SOCIO ECONOMIC is relating to or concered


with the interaction of the social and economic
factors, including Education, Culture, Income and
Occupation. Examination of socioeconomic status
often reveals inequities to resources plus issues
related to privilege, power and control.

INCOME
The family income is a total compensation
received by all family members age 15 or older
living in the same household, compensation may
include wages, social security, child support,
pension capital gains and dividends.

The Data reveals that only 6% household has gain


monthly family income of 1,000 to 5,000. This will
point out, that the family can consumed for
necessary things like food, housing, electric bills,
transportation, education, water bills and
medication. In like manner, there are 42.8 %
household has gain monthly income of 5,000 to
10,000. furthermore, 20.4% gain monthly income
for 10,000 to 15,000 , 8.1% for 15,000 to 20,000
and 20,000 to 30,000. 14.2% household has gain
monthly income of 30,000 and above. So, the
family who gained over 10,000 can spend more for
the basic needs of the family.

BASIC NECESSITIES

The chart indicates about the expenses such as


food, housing, clothing, education, water bill,
electric bill, transportation, and medication. The
food rates 18.3% of the population in the families
assessed. Abide by clothing and water bills rates
12.9%, the housing rates 12.5%, medication rates
11.8%, education rates 11.5%, transportation rates
10.4% and electric bill has 9.3%

As you can see in the diagram the food has the


biggest rate because food is the most important to
them. They need energy and nutrients in order to
survive and will respond to the feelings of hunger
and satisfaction. As well as clothing is important
because it reflects an individuals, culture,
personality and preferences. Water is also
important for body’s survival. They can also
provide housing for subsistence by offering shelter.
Most family keep saving money for medical
expenses due to health, mostly susceptible
recurring illnesses, that’s why most people save
money for health purposes. As you can see
education is lesser than medication due to the fact
that people spend less education because there
are free institution that gave free studies, some
people who live in rural areas they are less
fortunate in life financially that is why their
education is lesser. In zone 4 yellow tops, people
pay less electric bill because they don’t have
appliances compared to rich people who have too
much appliances. Poor people ride a tricycle
because they cannot afford luxury transportation.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Recreational Activates are action that are


performed solely for the enjoyment, pleasure and
amusement.
The data shows that 37.2% people who enjoy
listening to the music, 28.8% people who watch
television , 10.1% people who are fond in outing,
8.4% people who join the sports. 3.3% accounts
for videoke and 1.6% people accounts for dancing.
Some observation by researchers suggest that
people who lack interest do not heed the call in
participating some of the community program,
recreation because they have their own personal
physical fitness schedule of their own.
FAMILY PARTICIPATION

Community participation is an interactive


process of ongoing dialogue members of the
public, key stakeholder group, technical
professionals and local decision makers. It is not
something that can happen effectively in a single
meeting, particularly in a formal public hearing ,
where each person has limited time to present
their opinion and there is no opportunity for
meaningful dialogue, consensus building between
stakeholders. Community participation happen
throughout the process,not just once.
Most of the people of Zone 4 Yellow Tops
participates in Baranggay meeting which consist
39.7%, 22% for organizational meeting, 14.7% for
fiesta, 11.7% for homeowners, 4.4% for disco, 2.9%
for community assembly and church. IN addition,
1.4% for 4P’s.
Every family in the community must be involve in
community development program or social
activities that would encourage by the
government.

KINDS OF NEIGHBORHOOD

Neighborhood is also used to describe and area


surrounding a local institution patronized by
residents, such as church, school or social agency.
It can also be defined by a political ward. The
concept of neighborhood includes both geographic
(place-oriented) and social (people-oriented
component.

The data shows the kinds of neighborhood or the


surveyed families in Zone 4 Yellow Tops, 44.5%
residents affirmed that their neighbor are kind.
42.5% stated their neighbors are helpful. 5.9%
stated that their neighbors are sympathetic. 4.9%
stated that their neighbors are doing bad habits.
Having a kind and helpful neighbors are good
because they will support and help you but some
neighborhood people have behavior where lurking
isolation based on their attitude like being
introvert personality.

BARRIERS TO COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

UNAIDS defines “community” in its widest and


most inclusive sense by pointing out that a
community is a group of people who have
something in common and will act together in
their common interest. A community’s ability to
act together may have existed for centuries or it
may be triggered in a very short time by some
urgent problems. Many people belong to a
number of different communities, examples
include the place they live, the people they work
with or their religions group.

In the survey, there are 43.1% accounts the


population that lack of time to attend community
assembly, 34.0% account for being busy with
household chores and 22.7% accounts lack of time.
Some people cannot attend some program that is
called local government for reason they said of
their availability of time and others are skeptics
about the result, they are passive people.
