PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING AND IMMERSION PROGRAM

FOR POLO PERSONNEL

Module 1 – Relevant International and Philippine Laws and Policies


(e-Learning Course)

ADVISORY FOR THE PARTICIPANTS

Date and Venue. The above-mentioned training module will be accessible online starting on March
23, 2016. Participants are required to go to DOLE eLearning website, or type this link:
http://elearning.dole.gov.ph/ in the browser. They can use any desktop computers, laptops, and
ipads with internet access. The online course may be taken at home or while still doing turn-overs
and facilitating clearances in their respective offices. They can also go to the DOLE eLearning Facility
(computer laboratory) of the Labor and Governance Learning Center (LGLC) located at the 2 nd Floor
of the Blas F. Ople Hall (formerly DOLE Executive Building). The facility will be open during office
hours only and will be able to accommodate thirteen (13) participants at a given time on a “first-
come, first-served” basis.

Schedule. This is a 30-hour online course where participants are expected to learn through online-
remote sessions which is asynchronous thus it will not require an all-day online access and can be
done at own pace. Below is the training schedule prepared by the POLO eLearning Committee.

Registration. Participants are required to do two registrations:

Access of the online course is through the DOLE eLearning website or with the
http://elearning.dole.gov.ph/eportal/. Go to the online courses for DOLE employees, click on the
Pre-Deployment Training and Immersion Program for POLO Personnel folder, then go to the
Module 1 folder and click on the Topics and use this code: 2016PDTIP-b2 in the Enrollment Key and
click the enroll me (Blue) button to start on the course.

Activities. All are required to take the module. Please go to this link for the course syllabus

Outputs. At the end of the online course, participants are expected to be equipped with the
necessary knowledge on international and local laws, policies and guidelines relative to POLO
Operations.
