Model Bank

Introduction

“The Model Bank Reference System” is released with demo data to enable the Pre-Sales to
demonstrate T24 Model bank functionality.
It is pre-configured with Role Based Home Pages, Dashboards, Business Processes, Products,
Enquiries, Reports and a host of other features.
This document is intended to aid Pre-Sales to understand the “demo data” available in Private Wealth
Model bank and choose the appropriate data set for demos. Also, general guidelines to be kept in
mind for login and navigation are also detailed.

General Guidelines

Please ensure to follow these generic guidelines
 Role Based paged have workflows, dashboards and data designed to work differently for
different users. Hence it is important to login to each Home page using the Login user and
password details provided.

 If you are using some generic USER (not advisable) then change the Department code to “74”
for the USER. This will work for the PWM consolidated page and for the RM Home page.

 Please avoid using the Command line while demonstrating enquiries, versions etc and use the
Menu. Many of the enquiries/Versions etc have drilldowns that work on the
CURRENT.VARIABLE concept. These variables get set only when one drills down from a
parent enquiry.

 All screens and composites in R11 Model Bank have been designed for 1280 X 800
resolutions. Kindly ensure to use Projectors that support this resolution as otherwise there will
be lot of scrolling and some of the data may not get displayed within the screen.

 Please ensure to have the required services running in the back ground.
1. Compare and Rebalance – BNK/AM.SC.MOVEMENT
2. Alerts – BNK/EVENT and EMAIL.OUT, SMS.OUT and SECUREMSG.OUT and
BNK/OFS.MESSAGE.SERVICE
3. Cash Management – BNK/CASH.MANAGEMENT
4. Dynamic Modelling – BNK/AM.DYNAMIC.MODEL.SERVICE and
BNK/AM.MODEL.BUY.SELL.SERVICE
5. To post performance Fees - BNK/AM.PF.FEES.POSTING.SERVICE
6. PW Workflows - BNK/PW.MAPPING and BNK/PW.PROCESSING
7. To display SWIFT messages – SWIFT.OUT
8. To display PRINT messages – PRINT.OUT

This is not an exhaustive list. Please run the respective services while demonstrating an
application.

Demo data
Portfolios to Use
The following Portfolios have more data than others and it is recommended that these be used in the
Order mentioned below:

 100291-1 – BUFFETMRS
 100292-1 – BUFFETWE
 100285-1 – MICROSS

Benchmarks to Use
The following Benchmarks have performance data for about 7 years

Wealth Reports:
The report can be demonstrated from the Customer Overview screen>Portfolios>Drilldown to Wealth
Reports or from the Wealth Reports Menu.
Due to certain core issues, the Orchestrate reports could not be generated with the live data available.
However reports generated earlier have been uploaded for demo purposes. Please note that the data
will not match with that available in the area.

Performance Enquiries
A) Yearly, Monthly Performance Enquiries
Performance figures from 2006 are available for the following Portfolios. Hence it is recommended to
use these portfolios while demonstrating Performance enquiries, with the Benchmarks mentioned
above.
Please give the Start Date as 20060301

B) Segmented Performance and Instrument Wise Performance


To demonstrate Segmented Performance please use any of the following Portfolios with

Start Date as 20110101
 GROWTH
 BALANCED

Alerts
The following 2 alerts are easy to demonstrate online
1. Order Executed – Create a SEC.OPEN.ORDER with status as TRADED or execute a 2 step order
using SC.EXE.SEC.ORDERS
2. Investment Strategy changed – Change the field INVESTMENT.PROGRAM in SEC.ACC.MASTER

You can use the portfolio 100744-1 for Order Executed and for Investment Strategy changed.
Before the demo, open the CUSTOMER record and change the Email ID to your email (or some email
id that can be used for the demo).
Ensure that the services mentioned earlier are running viz:
BNK/EVENT
EMAIL.OUT
SECUREMSG.OUT
BNK/OFS.MESSAGE.SERVICE
SMS.OUT
If SMS needs to be demonstrated, a clickatel account will be required.

MiFID
Currently MiFID checks are available only for the SC module.

For MiFID checks to work, it’s very important to ensure that

A) a record is created in the table SC.MIFID.CLIENT.INFORMATION with ID as the


CUSTOMER.ID. Set Knowledge of Bonds as “Don’t Know”
B) That all Orders/Trades are created using the versions provided under the MiFID Menu.

C) Set values in the field RISK.LEVEL in the SECURITY.MASTER records that you intend to use.
You can look at the records in AM.MIFID.RISK.CLASS table to determine what risk levels you
would like to set.

1. Stock Exchange Check The TOKYO stock exchange record has Mifid Compliant value set
to NO...Hence trades on this stock exchange i.e using security 100172-000 will throw an
Override that Stock exchange is not MiFID Compliant
2. Retail Client Knowledge of Instrument Check – If a Trade to buy a Bond for the Customer
in A) above, system would throw an override that Client does not Know details of this Security
Type.
3. General Risk Level Check - The risk level of the Security is read. Based on the value in the
field RISK.PROFILE in SC.MIFID.CLIENT.INFORMATION for the customer, a check will be
made on the table AM.MIFID.RISK.CLASS and a suitable override will be thrown stating either
that Justification is required or Disclaimer has to be sent.
