I. Introduction

My name is Gerard Anthony F. Salas, a third-year Accountancy student of Christian

Colleges of Southeast Asia. I was assigned at Philippine National Bank-Main located
at San Pedro Street Corner CM Recto Street, Davao City.

My head mentor is Ms. Ma. Thelma Acido, her position is Sales and Service Offier
(SSO) in PNB together with her is Ms. Maryann Sabaysabay, Sales and Service
Associate (SSA). Both of the said officers are very kind and hardworking persons,
they do not want to get waste of time, giving instructions direct to the point and
made some clarifications if the said instructions are not clear to us, they are much
disciplined in doing their work, and finishing the task on time. The role of Sales and
Service Officer is responsible for the control and safekeeping of branch's operating
funds, accountable forms and other documents. Supervises, coordinates and
reviews the cash operations, tellering and window services of the branch.

During my stay as an intern, I was taught the basic processes in a Bank. I have
learned to do basic paper works. I have experienced preparing a set of an
application form for card replacement, which is mainly consist of 10 forms,
receiving telephone calls from various customers, assisting the clients regarding
filling up the application forms, filling the depository account information (DAF
folders) from A to Z, cutting signature cards and filed it as the same as with
depository account information. those tasks are quite hard specially in dealing with
different customers with different concerns, I have put my patience up high to deal
with the clients specially the elderly.

The new knowledge, ideas, and experiences that I have acquired are the most
important things that I will keep and apply in real world, which includes knowing
the ways to fulfill task relevant to my desired career path, and spending the time in
sharpening and improving the skills I already possessed. This experience will help
me become more equipped in my future career as a business graduate and
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
