of personal nature, excess baggage, optional excursions etc.
Passport/Visas
Australian citizens do not require a visa to travel to Canada.
If travelling into the United States or on an Alaskan Cruise,
Australian passengers must register on the Electronic System
for Travel Authorization (ESTA) to ensure eligibility to travel
to the US under the Visitor Waiver Program (VWP). All
passengers must carry a machine readable passport, valid
for at least 6 months after your return date. Note that visa
and passport requirements are the responsibility of the traveller.
Itineraries
Itineraries are subject to alteration without notice and
intended as a guide only. Alterations may come about
due to road or weather conditions, strikes or other reasons
beyond our control. Any additional expense incurred by the
passenger is not the company’s responsibility. We strongly
recommend that you have adequate travel insurance cover.
The company can give no guarantee as to exact arrival
and departure times for carriers and operators used by the
company in the tour and the company will not be liable
for failure to make connections with any other services or
attractions beyond its control. For a group tour to operate
and to provide an enjoyable group atmosphere, a minimal
number of passengers are required. If adequate numbers
cannot be achieved, it may be necessary to cancel a scheduled
departure and to offer the nearest possible alternative.
The decision to operate the tour is usually made 4-8 weeks
prior to the scheduled departure.
Airfares
Once tickets are issued, all airfares are subject to
cancellation and amendment fees. Surcharge may
apply to variations of airline routings. Airport taxes
vary for each departure point and routing of airline.

A Cruise Escort will travel on Holland America Line cruise
with this group. This Cruise Escort may differ from the land
APT Tour Director. This is subject to minimum numbers
and at the discretion of APT. Dining times are allocated by
Holland America Line and cannot be guaranteed prior to
departure. APT cruises are based on Verandah Stateroom
on the ms Zuiderdam until 21 January 2011. After this date
they are based on availability and surcharges may apply.
A Verandah Stateroom is defined on the ms Zuiderdam as
categories VA-VH – Deluxe Verandah Outside Staterooms.
Superior Verandah Suite and Deluxe Verandah Suite
upgrades are subject to availability. Upgrade prices may
differ from those shown on page 5 subject to availability.
Gratuities are included for the Hotel Service Charge, which
is staff that directly effect your experience, i.e. dining room
wait staff, stewards and house keeping. A 15% service
charge is automatically added to bar charges and dining
room wine purchases.
