& to comply with BOMBA requirement.
 The building are set to fire mode during testing
& commissioning.

 Control Management System (CMS)
 Aim: To check the fire alarm is working properly.
 Method: Fire alarm bell will ring once triggered.
 During fire mode, all Passenger & Bomba lift
will move down to the Ground Floor.
 The door will automatically open to allow
the passenger to evacuate & the lift system
will shut down.
 The lift will not function during fire mode.
 The switch will allow the Bomba to use the
Bomba Lift during fire mode.
 Bomba will press the open button to check
whether there is a smoke at the lobby or not.
If have, they will immediately close the door.
 To fully open the door, Bomba will press the
open button long enough.
 Aim: To check the fireman switch is working
properly.
 Method: It will be used to isolate electrical circuit
within 3 levels if triggered.
 2 types: (a) Tenant (b) Common Area.
 Aim: To check on the fireman intercom
functionality.
 Smoke is released from outside the lift lobby.
 The damper will open the shut at the floor affected.
 90 secs is needed for the pressurization system to
stabilize inside the lift lobby & staircase.
 The air released from the damper will prevent the
smoke from entering the lift lobby & staircase.
 Cover from Basement to Level 5.
 Initial pressure is 150 psi.
 If pressure drop 10%, jockey pump will run.
 If pressure drop 20%, duty pump will run.
 If pressure drop 80%, standby pump will run.
 Cover from Level 6 to Level 29 (Rooftop).
 Initial pressure is 200 psi.
 If pressure drop to 170 psi, jockey pump will run.
 If pressure drop to 150 psi, duty pump will run.
 If pressure drop to 100 psi, standby pump will
run.
 Hose reel: The water must be able to reach
6m.
 Canvas hose: The water must be able to reach
30m.
 To pump out the water from sump pit to the
nearest rain water drain.
 During fire mode, the generator set will
function.
 It can supply electricity for 3 hours.
 Fire fighting system are differ based on the
type of building & the architect/consultant
design.
 In Teratai Mewah & Loke Yew, have Sump Pit
at Pump Room (residential lot)
 In A5, have Sprinkler System (commercial lot)
