954 DANCE MOVEMENT COLLECTIVE

Dear Friend,

There's often talk about raising the roof. Well, I want to ask if you will help us raise the
floor.

Raise the floor?

The 954 Dance Movement Collective (954DMC) has recently gone through major structural repairs. The exterior
wall was removed and rebuilt. The foundation was removed and rebuilt. You get the picture. We've been closed
since mid-June and we're on the verge of reopening. But we need your help.

Through decisions beyond our control the contractors have rebuilt the studio foundation with a concrete floor.
This means we need to put in a sprung dance floor: our bodies require support from appropriate dance flooring.
Dancing on concrete? Not good at all. Have you ever hit your hand on concrete?

Since we will have been closed for three months, you might not remember what happens on our dance floor:

Children build confidence.
People have fun.
Dancers create work.
Singers learn choreography.
Families celebrate.
Models learn to runway walk.
Like-minded folk gather.
Voguers do death drops.
Cheerleaders tumble.
Individuals find community.
Teachers hone their craft.
Artists share their talents.

We’re raising $3,500.00 to cover the cost of building the new floor. Will you help us? Donate $650 or more and get
an original artwork. Donate $400 or more and get a framed original color photograph from World Dance in
Philadelphia. $155 or more and get a 954DMC t-shirt. $55 or more for a social media shout out. $25 for a personal
thank you card.

The 954 Dance Movement Collective is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service
