Ans. The fee for the program is about

3. Is financial assistance available to students?

Ans. Yes. Indian students (landed immigrants) may apply for educational loan.

4. Do I have to complete the programme within a fixed time limit?

Ans. Students are expected to make a commitment to the program of study and
complete it within the given time frame. As all the programs are professional, 100 %
attendance is required. Students can only be granted time off for legitimate reasons
such as medical and family emergencies.

5. Can you tell me more about the academic material/ input?

Ans. uses the industry-endorsed curriculum as per international norms approved by


IGNOU supported by latest publications and research. In addition students are also
required to complete various professional workshops, assignments, projects and
industrial exposure. Students are introduced to various operational standards of
different hotel brands. Throughout the programme students are guided by industry
specialists and professionals as their instructors and mentors.

6. What is my instructors' qualification?

Ans. It is always F-IHM's priority to select the most competent faculty/instructors to

practical experiences at managerial levels in the hospitality industry. The high

Ans. All the specialized programmes at F-IHM are considered intense hands-on

Ans. The classes are held at F-IHM Campus, located in Knowledge Park III, Greater
Noida, very near to the capital city of New Delhi and also at other hospitality facilities

Ans.: The courses being delivered at F-IHM are purely hospitality oriented and of

13. What is an industrial exposure/internship and where do students complete


their internships?

Ans. Internships are practical work experiences where students apply their hospitality
service and supervisory skills in restaurants, clubs, hotels, and resorts. In most cases,
internships are paid work experiences.

14. Where do the students gain their work experience at the hotel?

Ans. We have compiled a comprehensive list of hotel positions classified and based on

Ans. The practical / Lab component during internship is arranged by the college with
the affiliated hotels and other hospitality facilities. F-IHM students may also contact/
write to hotels, arranging interviews, or waiting and hoping to be accepted into an
industrial exposure position in order to graduate.

One of the biggest challenges faced by students interested in a career in the hospitality

placements at reputable hotel establishments.

18.What are the options for industrial exposure destinations?

Ans. Students may approach any hotel /tourist centre in India or any country abroad to
get industrial exposure. The student is responsible for his/her own travel arrangements
from FIHM Campus to destination and back.

We also place students for short term training at different types of hotel properties,
including high end ranches, resorts. Through our strong industry connection, we have
the flexibility and resources to assist students in meeting their needs.

19.What type of living environment should I expect, if I live in the hostel?

Ans. Students have the option to live in the hostel in a regular room. In the hostel,
students have amenities that include wi-fi , community television with cable TV, phone
facility for local calls, bathrooms, and housekeeping services.

20. Is there a place for students to work out?

Ans. There is a Gym in the hostel that has weights and exercise machines. The campus
also has indoor and outdoor recreational facilities.

21. What Degree will I receive upon completion of the programs.

Ans. Upon successful completion of the program, the under-graduate students receive
their B.A. / B.Sc. Honours Degree and the post-graduate students receive MBA Degree
from IGNOU.

22.What resources/supports in finding a job can I expect after graduation?

Ans. There is a strong connection between F-IHM and its alumni. The Institute
