B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES
1. Motivation
Divide the class into four groups. Provide each group a jigsaw puzzle with a missing piece.
Instruct them to solve the puzzle within five minutes.
The teacher will ask a question:
What have you observed with the puzzle?
Tell the students that each puzzle piece is important. If a piece is missing, the picture is
not complete. Like a jigsaw puzzle each computer has different parts. Each part is
important for the computer to work.
2. Presentation
Using Laptop and Projector run the PowerPoint presentation; show and name the
different parts of computer.
3. Analysis / discussion
Show the students a complete set of Personal computer and ask them where the parts
are located. Explain the uses of each part.
4. Application
Facilitate a simple guessing game.

Call a student and let him pick a picture of computer part from a box. Tell him to
describe the picture in one to three words. Tell him to avoid repeating the
answer of their classmates. Instruct him to put the picture back inside the box
then call another student until all of them have taken their turn.
C. GENERALIZATION
What are the parts of Computer?
The parts of computer are mouse, keyboard, monitor, casing, motherboard,
RAM, hard disk drive, CPU, Power Supply, and DVD-writer.
