2013 – 2014: Limerick School of Art and Design: Higher Diploma in Art and Design education
2:1 Honours
 This course included three blocks of work placement in a secondary school. Through this I have
gained a valuable experience in curriculum planning, teaching and classroom management.
 Developed my academic and research skills.
 Completed an action research project on introducing ICT elements into the secondary school
curriculum.

2009 – 2013: Limerick School of Art and Design: BA in Product Design, Ceramics
1:1 Honours
 Experienced in a variety of disciplines Ceramics, Graphics, Painting, Print, Sculpture and Textiles.
 Maintained a high standard of work and grades throughout the four years.
 Worked in an innovative way using a variety of techniques

2018: Three Rivers Academy – Art Sick Leave Cover April-May


 Experience teaching key stage 3, key stage 4 and tea teaching A levels.
 Taught a variety of art mediums, understanding of the English curriculum.
 Met with sick teachers tutor group weekly.
 Good rapport with students and staff.

2018 Raynes Park High School – Daily Supply May-July


 Experience teaching all levels covering a variety of different subjects.
 Experience teaching SEN/ learning support classes.

2017: Castletroy College – Art Teaching Substitution work


 Experience teaching 1st- 6th years in Art and Design.

2015: Dreams to Reality Volunteer Programme, Christian David Moravian School- Head Tutor
 Over 840 hours experience tutoring students in 1 st-7th grade.
 Responsible for establishing an effective special needs friendly curriculum.
 Involved in planning and preparation for outings.
 Ran a weekly soup kitchen in Muizenberg from my volunteer accommodation.
 Involved in a mosaic project working with children from the Capricorn Township.

2014: Milford Care Hospice – Project Co-ordinator/ Researcher- Mosaic Project


 Developed a theme and colour scheme, designed a number of tactile areas and designs for
residents to interact with.
 Delivered process workshops to the art facilitators in tile manipulation and various colured slip
techniques.
 Initiated classes with residents making textured tiles.

2013 – 2014: Castletroy College – Student Teacher


 Over 90 hours teaching experience teaching, 1 st/ 2nd/4th and 5th years.
 Experience in team teaching 3rd and 6th years.
 Familiarity teaching students with a variety of special needs.
 Delivered ceramic process workshops to Teachers and students.

2011 - 2018: The Park Nursing Home – Art Teacher / Activities Manager
 Succeeded in establishing, organising and instructing a weekly art and ceramics class for residents.
 Responsible for organising elderly friendly weekly activities, outings and musical entertainment.
 Experienced in dealing with challenging situations and multitasking efficiently.

2008 – 2009: Spiral Tattoo- Apprentice/ Receptionist


 Consulted with customers on tattoo designs and bookings.
 Maintained a sterile and hygienic work environment to meet strict safety standards.
 Overall financial matters in the studio and improved record keeping methods.

INTERESTS

 My primary passion is art; I am interested in a variety of mediums. I am currently working on project about my
experiences and the people I met while in South Africa. I am also working with tin, making embossed lanterns.
 I practice yoga daily.
 Gardening, I really enjoy being outside taking care of my fruit and vegetables.
