an activity, or as means to undertake an enterprise and achieved desired outcome Three most basic resources are land, labor and capital Other resource includes energy, information, expertise, management, and time Resources has the following dimension: - Great in volume… very many - Inputs in economic activity/ to produce another product - Raw materials, plentiful - No value at source, but with value once there is intervention, innovation, manipulation

Functions of Management- Planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing and controlling HRM: defined as the implementation of the strategies, plans, programs required to attract, motivate, develop, reward and retain the best people to meet organizational goals and operational objectives Edward L.
