Jana in the morning, I read a few books to the other girls while you stood back and watched
us. I was waiting for you to make the initiative to come and join us rather than inviting you,
but you didn’t join us.

Later on after morning tea, I was sitting on the mat when you came and brought me the
color book to read with you. Masha allah I was so happy when you did that as it shows that
you are slowly starting to develop confidence to explore without constant encouragement.

You sat in front of me and we began to look through the book. At times in your own
language you said something while pointing at the pictures and other times you made the
“oh” expression.

Alhamdulillah’s, it was nice to see you initiate play. Jana your learning goals are to use a
range of strategies and skills to play and learn alongside others and to develop confidence
to explore surroundings independently.
