MEANING
Question bank refers to a set of questions available for a particular subject or
for a entire subject in a course
It includes a two or more question papers of a subject which was prepared
specialist from various colleges
DEFINITION
A question bank is a planned library of test items designed to fulfill a certain
predetermined purposes. (George 1987)
CHARACTERISTICS
Characteristics of a Good Questionnaire by Dr. Kenneth B. Hunt
1. Questions worded simply and clearly, not ambiguous or vague, must be objective
2. Attractive in appearance (questions spaced out, and neatly arranged)
3. Write a descriptive title for the questionnaire
4. Write an introduction to the questionnaire
5. Order questions in logical sequence
6. Keep questionnaire uncluttered and easy to complete
7. Delicate questions last (especially demographic questions
8. Design for easy tabulation
9. Design to achieve objectives
10. Define terms
11. Avoid double negatives (I haven't no money)
12. Avoid double barreled questions (this AND that)
13. Avoid loaded questions ("Have you stopped beating your wife?")
14. Phrase questions for all respondents
