DO IT THE JACKIE CAMERON WAY
One Evening a Month
Jackie will share her culinary skills during one evening of cooking classes per month.
About 10 plus simple-yet-tantalising recipes for home cooking - from the book Jackie Cameron Cooks at Home and
Baking with Jackie Cameron will be demonstrated, and copies of all recipes are included in the fee.
Casual dinners will comprise tasters of the various dishes being highlighted.
A cash bar will be provided – so please leave your bottles at home.
Jackie’s prized recipe books will be on sale for - Jackie Cameron Cooks at Home (R270) and Baking with Jackie
Cameron (R290).
A group of 15 is required to make up a class.
We do anything food related for a minimum of 15 guests and up to 200 – or more. Numbers for the school
venue have to be restricted, but other options are possible.
Jackie Cameron requests a budget to work from and you’ll be advised what the school can prov ide.
Functions at the school range from private, wine-cellar dinners; special occasion get-togethers; corporate
cooking classes (one course can be a cooking challenge whereby you compete against your team-mates to
see who is the MasterChef. The rest of the menu / meal can be a relaxed affair where we spoil you);
conferences; to weddings and wakes. Outside functions includes exclusive wedding catering; drop -off
anniversary or birthday celebration platters and weekly corporate food platters designed to suit b udget. We
cook, annually, in the mealie fields for 150 top farmers. Think gourmet steak rolls and boerewors rolls…
We really do it all.

The students will pair bite-size tastings for the various cultivars being presented, and we’ll ask you to comment
on the snacks and how well they pair with the respective wines.
This will be a relaxed, informal get together of people who enjoy fine fare - and for those who would like to gain
appreciation for this sociable activity.
So, on the way home from work, stop off for a sundowner of a food-and-wine tasting with a difference.
Dates: See below Time: Arrival 17h00 sharp – we like to start as close to 17h00 as possible. We are normally
done by 18h30.

These events are extremely popular and so we cannot take cancellations on the day.
FOUR MONTH POP UP STUDENT RESTAURANT
Student’s BR.UNCH at Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine.
The occasion kicks off with a glass of Klein Zalze bubbles. The three-course brunch – inspired by one of
Jackie’s dining experiences in San Francisco – follow and includes a cup of Terbodore coffee / tea and /
crafted soft drink. All drinks over and above will be charged for.
To allow for the students to take control the normal Brunch Restaurant (which is normally open from
Wednesday to Sunday from 8:00 to 16:00) will be closed on the following Saturday and Sunday dates:
Dates: August 18 th; 19 th; 25th; and 26th; September 8th; 9th; 22th and 23th;
October 13th; 14th; 27th and 28th.

HIGH TEA
To round off the year our #20182019 students will be holding an afternoon High Tea at 241 Old Howick Road,
Hilton. This will be the results of their final pastry practical.
Dates: November 3rd and 10th
