Special Interests
 I’ve always been passionate about surgery, impressed by my Father who is a surgeon, and took up
Medicine and Surgery as a career. I completed my specialty training in Oncology, as I felt distinct
shortcomings in the management of Cancer in our Country, and prevalent myths regarding cancer in our
society and lack of compassionate, competent professional care delivered for cancer. I believe my
contribution to our society is through my ability to heal, comfort and cure. My special interests are in
Cancer prevention, laparoscopic and robotic surgical oncology and organ conservative oncology, with
special emphasis on pelvic surgeries (gynecologic malignancies and sphincter sparing surgeries for rectal
cancer).
