(In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, all praise and thanks are due to Allah, and
peace and blessings be upon His Messenger)

a was revealed on the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) by Allah Almighty through
Gabriel the archangel. The revelation from the first verse till the end took around twenty three
years and in small portion or large chapters as the Almighty wished. Since it is the word OF
Allah Himself, He mentions in the a :

³This is the book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.´ (Surah Al-
Baqarah)

Ahadeeth are quite distinct form the Quran since they are the explanation of the a as
termed suitable by the Holy Prophet (S.A.W), so Ahadeeth are not to be mixed with the verses of
the a The words of the a were memorized by the People of that time as they had
developed these traits since there was no literary system governing the society at that time so
memorization was extremely important. The significance of the a is mentioned in many
verses and Ahadeeth. And the best way that is defined is to study the whole a and not a part
which suits a person¶s lifestyle. The a is a complete set of instructions that mankind is
supposed to follow. As said in the a :

³After this it is ye, the same people, who slay among yourselves, and banish a party of you from
their homes; assist (their enemies) against them, in guilt and transgression; and if they come to
you as captives, ye ransom them, though it was not lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only
a part of the book that ye believe in, and do ye reject the rest? But what is the reward for those
among you who behave like this but disgrace in this life? -and on the Day of Judgment they shall
be consigned to the most grievous penalty For Allah is not unmindful of what ye do´ (Surah Al -
Baqarah)(a )

The reason that we believe that Quran was to revealed was because the previous book from
heaven that were sent faced tampering. It is mentioned in the a :

³The people of the book know this as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the
truth which they themselves know.´ (Surah Al-Baqarah) (a )

Like mentioned before, it has secrets to all the happenings in life in one way or the other. The
complete set of instructions requires understanding and a thought process which is necessary in
understanding the Holy Book. It is a duty of not only the Muslims but of man\kind to preserve
the sanctity of the Holy Quran in this life so we can succeed in the After-life.
³Hast thou not turned thy thought to those who have been given a portion of the O ? They are
invited to the book of Allah, to settle their dispute, but a party of them turns back and decline
(the arbitration).´ (Surah Aal-e-Imran)
