UPDATE 5

12th of SEPTEMBER 2018

LOECHES, MADRID

Hello everyone!! Once again we share the today’s events in the FMVD
Congress.

Adriana Ochoa invited us to

contemplate Verbum Dei as a fragile
‘raft’ described in Wisdom 14; 1-7,
with Jesus as its Captain, sailing over
the sea of history in the hands of the
Father, with holiness as its goal and
the Holy Spirit marking its route. She
continued saying, Time is pressing, and
we need to neither look at the boat,
nor its fragility but to focus on the
horizon, the goal to which we are all
called, experts or not, holding before
us the witnesses who have already arrived. Mary shows each one of us where we are
needed so that the boat can move forward.
In the morning we listened to the reports of Rodrigo and Magdalena, the
Responsibles of the celibate branches, and we expressed our gratitude to
them for their self-giving and the communion that has been lived between
their respective governments, as well as for sharing in detail the situation
of each branch, with its priorities, strengths and weaknesses.

Part of the presidential election process is ‘sounding ’that allows us listen

to the insinuations of the Holy Spirit concerning the person who He has
already chosen, and this afternoon was the right moment for this.

Afterwards in the respective Branch Assemblies we had the opportunity

to discuss the important points of the reports of each of the General
Responsibles.
We could see that in the midst of the challenges we are faced with, we
are growing and moving forward more and more, which fills us with hope
and trust in the governments and the accompaniment of this service by
the Holy Spirit, as the biblical author expresses, ‘the hope of the world
took refuge on a raft and, steered by your hand, preserved the seed of
a new generation for the ages to come’ (Wisdom 14; 6).

Tomorrow will be a free day so we will not be sending an update. Some will be
visiting Siete Aguas to visit Jaime’s tomb and ask for his intercession.
