BACKGROUND OF THE CONFERENCE

Leadership has been described as the behavior of an individual when directing the activities of a
group toward a shared goal. The key aspects of the healthcare leadership role involves
influencing group activities and coping with associated improvements in patient care or
organizational outcomes. Leaders may be identified by high output and good performance in
both quantitative and qualitative terms of the team which they lead. The morale of the team led
is of a high level with a commitment to achievement of goals, both personal and organizational
which are correspond, and a high level of motivation. The main objective of HCL CON‐2018 is
“BUILD SKILLS TO FACILITATE HIGH PERFORMANCE EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONALS IN HEALTH AND
HOSPITAL SYSTEM”. The Conference will feature a invited talks, keynote address from wide
range of medical/paramedical leaders from various medical institutes and hospitals.
. “It is the art of getting other people to follow you and to willingly do things that you want
them to do.”

CALL FOR ABSTRACT:

The Organizing committee is pleased to invite delegates to submit abstracts for poster
presentations on the following themes:

1. Enhancing leadership and management skills in Health Care

2. Leading innovation and Quality improvement in Patient Care

3. Understanding leadership through Health Research

4. Key leadership competencies for delivering Quality Health Care

5. Human Resource Management in Health Administration

6. Conflicts in Health Care Management

Authors should make sure that the submission of abstracts strictly adheres to prescribed format
in the template‐Annexure I. The abstract content without any citation/refrences should not
exceed 250 words (excluding title, author affiliations and keywords). Authors and Co‐ Authors
should be registered separately for receiving the certificate.

Scientific committee will review all submitted abstracts and the authors/presenters will be
notified about acceptance within 5 working days after submission. Participants can register
through online email id: leadership2018@tnmgrmu.ac.in. DD should be taken in favour of “The
Registrar”, The Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University payable at Chennai. Registration
through online is mandatory for all participants including those who opt for spot payment.

Professors of Affiliated Institutions, Indian Medical Association and Private Practitioners

Participants willing to submit abstract for the conference and other delegates are requested to
