EXAMINATIONS
A Student who receives a score of 50 in both College Algebra and College Trigonometry will receive credit for
MAT 1800 (5 semester hours) and will have satisfied Math Competency.

Credit for CLEP/DANTES examinations is awarded by the Transfer Credit Evaluation Unit. For questions about this

NOTES
No credit is awarded for the following CLEP examinations: College Composition MODULAR, Financial
Accounting, French Language, German Language, Introductory Business Law, Principles of
Management, Principles of Marketing, and Spanish Language.
Credit will not be awarded for CLEP scores on the basis of their appearance on the transcript of another
institution.
Effective November 2017, there is no limit to the number of credit hours for CLEP or a combination of AP, IB,
CLEP, and department-based credit by examination that may be used toward a WSU degree. All credit will
be recorded on the student record.
All scale scores for the General Examinations in English Composition, Humanities, Mathematics, Natural
Science, and Social Science will be reported as a two-digit number. The score scale for the general exams
has switched from 200-800 to 20-80. In addition, the General Examinations are now Subject Examinations
based on the College Board’s July 2001 revisions.
