1. Call to order
a. Stephanie calls the meeting to order at 4:11pm
2. Officers’ Reports
a. Presidents:
i. Report on recent meeting with Superintendent Ron Carruth
ii. Bargaining team meets August 20th with Karmen, CTA liaison
iii. Discussion of buttons, stickers idea
b. Secretary
i. David will be taking over website and social media duties from Jen Z.

i. Review of operating statement
ii. Discussion of pros and cons of purchasing audit report
1. As a result of the Janus case, we are no longer ​required​ to do an
audit.
2. We will need to decide on whether or not to purchase an audit
at our August 21st meeting.

i. Report on process of signing up district’s new hires
ii. Discussion on benefits of membership

i. We need to update our bylaws to keep in compliance with CTA.

i. Idea of teaming up new members with existing members
b. Site budgets
i. Funds for site reps to provide perks to new hires.
ii. David moves that we provide site budgets of $10 per new hire to be
used during the 2018-19 school year. Motion approved.
c. New Contract Copies / Know Your Contract
i. Review of Article 9: Employee Hours
d. Site Rep Goals
i. Make contact with new hires
ii. Coordinate with site administration
iii. Get all staff on Remind app
