+ University Pathway : Checklist

Dear Student,

Thank you very much for your interest in our program “German course + university pathway”.
We are glad to welcoming you as a GLS- and future university student.
In order to complete the application for a degree of your choice, we need to send your application
documents. After application, uni-assist will issue an acceptance letter which gives proof of your
successful university application and can be used for a visa application in your home country.

Please send us the following application documents (original hard copy):

+ BACHELOR DEGREES:

• 1 filled in and signed authorization form

• 2 attested* copies of your school leaving certificate, including transcript of grades
(plus attested* German or English translation)
• If you already studied: 2 authenticated* copies of your university transcript
• 2 attested* passport copies
• 2 passport photos
• German language certificate / language course attendance certificate
• CV

+ MASTER DEGREES:

• 1 filled in and signed authorization form (applicant number will be filled in by us)
• School Leaving Certificate/University Entrance Exam
• 2 attested* copies of your certificates on university studies: include the diploma certifi-
cate as well as the overview of subjects and grades.
(plus attested* German or English translation)
• University’s official grading system (PDF or official link, if not noted on your diploma)
• 2 attested* passport copies
• 1 general motivation letter
• CV

*! Please note that the authentication of all copies has to be done by a public authority in your
home country. This can be: the issuing schools or universities, the ministry of education in your
country of origin, German embassies and consulates, the department of cultural affairs of the embassy
of the country in which the certificate was issued and public authorities and notaries which are author-
ized to supply official certifications in your country of origin.

Please don’t send us any original document. GLS only accepts hard copies. Forward your documents
by post way to GLS to start your university application as soon as possible.

 Authorization

Hereby I give power of attorney to GLS Language School Berlin to execute the uni-
versity application procedure in my name. GLS Language School Berlin and its em-
ployees are hereby authorized to get full information on my study applications by
uni-assist e.V. as well as to act in my place and to issue statements on my behalf.
