I. Data Processing
From the experiment, we obtained the data of height, frequency which later be
converted into velocity using the machine’s manual, and the manometer reading. The
data obtained is as follows
b = 30 cm = 0.3 m
Table BO.1. The data that was obtained from the experiment
h (cm) V (m/s) C P1 P2 P3 P4 P5 P6 P7 P8
24.7 118 27 26.5 25.8 25.5 3 1.8 1.8 1.8

26.9 196 29 28.5 27.57 27.5 4.2 2.4 3.5 3.6

The data processing was began by finding the area of the pipe, the discharge, the height
difference and the value of C. The height difference can be obtained by subtracting the
height at a condition with the height of the datum which is 24.7 cm. The value of C can
be obtained by using the formula below
3
𝑄 = 𝐶 × 𝑏 × ℎ2
The result of these calculations can be tabled as

Once the data have been calculated, we made graphs showing the relationship of
discharge (Q) against height difference and the height against pressure for each height
variation.
