 IS OUR WORLD GETTING SMALLER?

What do you understand when you read this question?. What is the reason for the
world to become small? Well, there are three main factors to get to this question.
Perhaps you say the internet, which could be a good answer due to the internet
come from one of the most important factors such as communication.

As you know communication has been a fundamental part of our lives but more so
now when we seek to know what happens around us, given that somehow it affect
us, anybody could deny that social networks are the largest source of information
they have a viral power so any message has more scope than any others medium
of communication because of the same informative groups have been adapting to
this type of changes for example, now a person has to take his smartphone with
him to stay informed of all events wherever he is. Journalists use this medium to
publish their news and generate mass movements of solidarity in a crisis situation.
Additionally is a good way to bring closer those families that live apart in other
countries.

Another point or factor that we can take into account is tourism, why tourism? Due
to that is a social cultural and economic phenomenon related to the movement of
people to places that are outside their place of habitual residence for personal or
business reasons. Is one of the most economic and important sectors in the actual
world. This achieves a global integration which aims to describe the immediate
reality as a global society, beyond the borders, religious differences, cultural and
political ideologies. Events like the Olympic Games, world cups allow uniting
people around the world.

Finally the another factor and not less important is the international relations, are
exceptionally important aspects of citizenship in a global society, rapid air
transportation and a complex international economy, the value of peaceful and
cooperative relationships between nations is increasingly important. Which has
generated a global redefinition and the birth of new hegemonies, the great powers
of the world have known to see in international relation as an important partner to
encourage their economies to boost their trade and sell to the world.

Personally, I think that technology makes these three factors combine and work
perfectly, on top of that in my opinion is the fundamental basis in the cultural,
economic and political change.

In conclusion we can see that these three factors lead to a small world based on
technology as something fundamental in our lives.
