How to fix damaged app message on macOS Sierra

To resolve Gatekeeper issues on macOS Sierra and unlock images and programs ( annoying image/application is
damaged messages pretending you cannot open things ).

For that reason you might have to completely disable Gatekeeper checks, and to do that open your terminal and
type:

sudo spctl ­­master­disable

Your mac password will be required.

For Mac OS X 10.11 or later read this

My mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 does not recognize the terminal command sudo spctl --master-
disable (yes, i typed it correctly and tried several times). Additionally in System Preferences I do not
have the option to allow apps to run from "Anywhere". The response in terminal is -bash: __git_ps1:
command not found. Any suggestions?

have you type it manually? if yes and if you need to enter your password, type it and click
enter. Then open system preferences, there will be option for allow apps to run from
"anywhere". It works for me.

Hello, I am encountering the same problem here. A family member has downloaded Final
Cut Pro on to my Mac laptop to use for work, but is unable to download due to High Sierra
only allowing downloads from identified developers and App Store. I have searched all
through the internet on how to solve this, but nothing has resolved my issue. Keep me
updated on any reply/solution please!

When I try to open sims 4 it says "The Sims 4 is already running" and then when I try to open
crossover it says "“CrossOver” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should eject the disk image."

hi I managed to fix the dlc not showing up but can't quite manage to play the game for more than
20 minutes as sometimes during loading it freezes and I have to restart my Mac as I can't force quit
it and in other cases it comes up with an error " Ts4 has encountered a serious issue". Any help is
appreciated. Thanks again for uploading this game

Hi guys so everything went smoothly yesterday all the DLCs were all up and running and today the
DLCs aren't there anymore. I keep restarting my laptop to see if it works but they don't appear
anymore.. It just keeps on saying connect to the internet. I choose the option to connect it to the
internet but it takes a long time and says unable to connect.. Can someone please help me.. :/

Hi I tried to install TS4 and the second time I launched it all the DLCs appeared. Before they appear
there are two windows that pops up and I just clicked - wrongly -"yes" on the second window and
since then I uninstalled it and reinstalled the whole game multiple times but there aren't DLC.
Can someone help me or ad tis problem?

Open Wineskin.app from the following

 /Application/The Sims 4/Wineskin.app

Then click on "Set Screen Options" >> Now uncheck "Auto Detect GPU info for Direct3D"
>> click "Done"

After that click on "Tools" tab >> Click on "Kill Wineskin Processes" >> exit WineSkin.app

You can now try opening the game as usual
