Romp and stomp
The Romp N Stomp is intended to be great soccer, foster healthy competition, and be a day to enjoy
a season of soccer energy with our kids. Trophies are awarded for winning teams in the U9, U10 and U12 brackets
and are placed in area schools for the year. While competitive, the goal of this is FUN FOR ALL.
U10G - First place will be based upon bracket play determined after two games.
U10B - First place will be based on round robin play
After your second game, each team should report to the scorers table - to receive a souvenir & a team photo.
Finals teams are selected based upon the following:
Tie - breakers (ranked in order - the first team "win" of a tie breaker moves on)
1. Team with a win in head-to-head games has the better record
2. Bonus points (Win = 3 points, Tie = 1 point, Loss = 0 points + Bonus points as follows:
winning teams can earn up to 3 bonus points based on goal differential.
No more than three bonus points are earned. (A win of 3-0 = 3 BPs; a win of 10-1 = 3 BPs - there is no benefit to
running up the score). Note: BPs only come into play for tiebreaker purposes.
3. 2 x5 minute overtimes - no golden goal. If gameremains tied, procede to shootouts (FIFA rules)
Teams failing to show at the proper field within 15 minutes of scheduled start time forfeit unless opposing coach or Scoring official
grants additional time (A scoring official may only grant time if the delay is due to a Coach active in another previously scheudled game).
Because game times are subject to change, the official start time is determined at the Scorer's table.
If forfeiture occurs during a preliminary rounds, the score will be considered 1-0 for purposes of tie breakers.
ALL COACHES MUST CHECK IN AT SCORERS TABLE PRIOR TO THE START OF SEMIFINALS/FINALS
If for semifinals/finals a team is not present the next seeded team will play as an alternate but must be
present within 15 minutes of planned start; i.e. not based on time of notification, AND must have reported to SCORER'S TABLE
