savings in excess of $90K through development and implementation of new tooling initiatives

Braking and Egress Coordinator 2004

• Coordinated activities for the braking and egress subgroups of dynamics team, in order to
ensure timely, cost-effective, design and implementation
• Designed hydraulic disk brake system to safely stop the vehicle even if one of the two sets of
brakes were to fail, while meeting the stopping distance requirements for the brake test
• Negotiated corporate sponsorship and discounted prices on brake components
• Led cross-functional task force to develop a conceptual design for the solar array stand in
order maximize battery pack charge rate through support of the array at the optimal angle
