Merced, California
Report of Examination

Date: September 24, 2018

Examiner Name: Jazleen Dosanjh
Unit: Paternity Testing
Case File Number: 678-999-8212

The specimen listed below were given to our lab on September 10, 2018 to examine.

Q1 Buccal swab taken from the child whose father is being identified
K1 Buccal swab taken from the first potential father
K3 Blood sample taken from the second potential father
K4 Blood sample taken from the third potential father
K5 Buccal swab taken from the fourth potential father

Results of Examination:

A buccal swab was taken from the 9 year old child whose father is being identified. Specimen
K2 was not taken into consideration due to the fact that the mother ruled out the man that that
sample was taken from.

DNA was isolated from specimen Q1, K1 (potential father 1), K3 (potential father 2), K4
(potential father 3), and K5 (potential father 4) and was subjected to DNA typing using a Bio Rad
DNA Fingerprinting Kit. The DNA Results are illustrated below:

K5 12 4,300 13 3,500 16 2,500 20 1,500

Based on the results, the donor of specimen K3 (potential father 2) closely matches the DNA
obtained from specimen Q1. Specimen K3 is the closer to Q1 and the bands are more aligned
than the bands shown for specimen K1, K4, and K5 when compared to Q1. Although the bands
for specimen K3 and Q1 are not in the exact same locations, they are the most similar to each
other which in turn implies that the donor of specimen Q1 is the child of the donor of specimen
K3.
