Group 6

Problem 1:

Is there a significant difference in the verbal comprehension of the

graduates from Private and Public Schools?

Hypothesis
H0: There is no significant difference between the verbal comprehension
of the graduates from private and public schools.

Statistical Used: t-Test

Aptitude Test Mean difference Sig Decision Interpretation

(2-tailed)

Verbal .124 .124 0.128 Accept Ho1 Not
Comprehension Significant

Conclusion:

There is no reliable difference between the mean of the verbal comprehension of

graduates from public to private schools. The data affirms to Republic Act 10533 to
Enhanced Basic Education Program. The implementation of K to 12 curriculum both
public and private school. Thus,a 12-year program is found to be the adequate period for
learning under basic education and using similar teaching strategies by the teachers.

2. Problem:
Is there a relationship between verbal comprehension and verbal
reasoning?

Hypothesis
H0: There is no relationship between verbal comprehension and verbal
reasoning
.
Statistical Used: Pearsons product Moment of Correlation

Verbal Reasoning .371 0.028 Reject Ho1 Significant

Conclusion:
A Pearson's product-moment correlation was run to assess the relationship

between verbal comprehension and verbal reasoning in Senior High School graduates

from Public and Private schools.Based on the results of the statistical analysis, verbal
comprehension is moderately related to a verbal reasoning the (Pearson Correlation) r =

.371, p <=.028.

3. Problem:
Will Verbal Reasoning and verbal comprehension by predictors of the
figural reasoning of the graduates?

Hypothesis
H0 : None of the verbal comprehension and verbal reasoning be a
predictors of the figural reasoning of the graduates?.
.
Statistical Used: Linear Regression

Report Analysis:
A linear regression was calculated to predict figural reasoning based on verbal
comprehension and verbal reasoning. A significant regression equation in two model
was found ( F(1,34_) = 113.333, p < .000), with an R2 of .769 Senior High School
graduates’ predicted figural reasoning is equal to .923 – 1.178 (Verbal Reasoning) +
.906 (Verbal Comprehension). Object of measurement increased .474 figural reasoning
for each verbal comprehension and .436 for each verbal reasoning. The verbal
comprehension is significant predictors of figural reasoning however the verbal
reasoning is not a significant predictor.
