An ambitious and driven 2nd year at the University of Leeds with a deep passion for finance. Possesses a wide variety of
skills accumulated via various jobs/activities ranging from fitness and waiting tables to managing NGOs as well as computer
coding.
Have 2 years of experience as Head Advisor of Project Monkey X and played a pivotal role in the initiation of the multi-
nation ASEAN Youth Council. Proficient in the coding languages of Python and Java as well as all Microsoft Office
applications. Fluent in English, Malay, Tamil and am learning Spanish.
Had an enlightening attachment at CIMB Bank with exposure to capital markets and everyday retail banking. Great team
player with skills being honed by representing Malaysia in Taekwondo and playing rugby for both college and university
teams.

These skills have been accumulated via an attachment at CIMB Bank (June 2016) whereby my teammates and I
learnt to use the Bloomberg terminal and were assigned several challenges under mentors from the bank designed to
equip us with the basic idea of how a bank works, equity and debt capital analysis, presentation skills and time
management. Besides, I have been learning and teaching Accounting for the past 4 years and am highly skilled at it
with the Corporate Finance modules taught at university enhancing this prior knowledge.

Project Monkey X (PMX) is a public volunteering group consisting of individuals with a shared dream of seeing a
better world which I led alongside the founder by advising on finances, leading discussion panels and moving the
team forward to reach our targets and engaging Malaysian youth to be involved in charities, social projects etc.
Via PMX I managed to gain invaluable experience leading a team, making tough choices based on cost-benefit
analysis and practicality as well as being able to interact with the most amazing people especially in the creation of
the ASEAN Youth Council under the mentorship of Tan Sri Munir Majid (Senior Fellow at LSE and Chairman of
Bank Muamalat Malaysia)
Furthermore, my experience of being a tutor at CHILD Sungai Pelek ( January 2015 - June 2017) gave me the
opportunity to hone my oral presentation skills as well as learning how to set and meet KPI’s for students and
myself in addition to gaining behavioural management expertise as these were underprivileged and usually
disenfranchised kids and unique approaches were required to get through to each student.

Over the years I’ve taken part in various sports as well as taking on many part-time jobs while in school for
experience and financial support. I started Taekwondo in 2001 and am now a 2nd Dan Black Belt and have won
several medals and tournaments for Malaysia, with the values of hard-work, discipline and being an example to
junior athletes being drilled into me.
I’m also a part-time personal trainer in addition to having been a waiter/cook at takeaways and delis which have
given me a holistic approach to work and expanded my social network. Due to the current information era I’ve also
decided to enhance my Accounting background with software expertise hence learning the languages of Python and
Java.
Finally, being an activist and panelist has greatly polished my public speaking and debating skills and I welcome
opportunities to nourish and enhance these skills further.
