Introduction
WD-SJ301 is an agglomerated calcium-silicate type flux with a basicity index of BIIW 1.0. The flux is
spherical granular, grain size is from 10 to 60 mesh. It has excellent welding technology properties.
Regularly shaped welds are deposited without reduction of area or interface notches. Slag detachability
is good. A short slag is produced, thus allowing circumferential welding on small-diameter cylinders
without the risk of uncontrolled slag. WD-SJ301 can be welded with AC or DC at up to 1200A (single-wire
process). The production of large pipes (especially spiral pipe welding) is a typical application for this flux.
Relatively high manganese pick-up is obtained, thus allowing the flux be used with wires with a low Mn
content. The special production method ensures that the flux has low moisture pick-up and granular
stability. Flux shall be capable of meeting the applied requirements. As the bulk density is low, so is the
consumption rate.
Applications
Flat butt and fillet welding for steel frames, bridges, spiral pipes, pressure vessels and ships.
Characteristics
It has excellent welding technology properties. Regularly shaped welds are deposited without reduction
of area or interface notches. Welding defects such as pits and blowholes scarcely
occur when steel plate is thin. Bead is smooth with beautiful appearance. It is suitable for welding of less than
20mm steel plate.

tube-web-tube joints of finned tubes. It has excellent welding technology properties. Regularly shaped
welds are deposited without reduction of area or interface notches. Slag detachability is good, welding
blowholes scarcely occur. The special production method ensures that the flux has low moisture pick-up
and granular stability. Flux shall be capable of meeting the applied requirements. As the bulk density is
low, so is the consumption rate.
Applications
Flat butt and fillet welding of steel frames, bridges, spiral pipes, pressure vessel and ships.

Introduction
WD-SJ101 is an agglomerated fluoride-basic type flux with a basicity index of BIIW 1.8. The flux is
spherical granular, grain size is from 10 to 60 mesh. As weld metal is very purity, the diffusible hydrogen
content in deposited metal is less than 5ml/100g, so has very good toughness at the low temperature,
therefore, crack resistance is extremely high. WD-SJ101 assures excellent weldability, bead appearance
is beautiful, slag is extremely easy to remove. WD-SJ101 is suitable for submerged-arc twin-wire, tandem
and multi-wire welding as well as for welding with the two-run technique. The special production method
ensures that the flux has low moisture pick-up and granular stability. Flux shall be capable of meeting
the applied requirements. As the bulk density is low, so is the consumption rate.
Applications
Flat butt and fillet welding of mild and high tensile strength steels for frames, bridges, pipes, pressure
vessels, rolling stock, offshore structures and ships.
Characteristics
It has excellent welding technology properties for fillet welding of thick plates. Regularly shaped welds
are deposited without reduction of area or interface notches. Blowholes scarcely
occur. Satisfactory weldability and mechanical properties are obtained with heat input.
