Joseph prepare lovingly for the birth of Jesus.

they arrived, there was no room for them to stay in a house, so
they had to stay in a stable.

 Teacher talks with the students about how exciting a family is


when a baby is born and they show they love the baby. Explain
that God loves people so much that God sent Jesus.

 Teacher will select a few students to walk around the room and
show their contribution to the class of their nativity scene
 Teacher will conclude the lesson by going over some focus
questions which would include
- How do you think Mary and Joseph felt about their new baby?
- How do you think Mary and Joseph prepare for the birth of
Jesus?
- Where did Mary and Joseph stay the night? How might that have
affected their preparations for the birth of Jesus?

2 min Transition: (What needs to happen prior to the next lesson?)


Students are asked to quietly stand up and walk back to their desks and
wait patiently for the teacher to say further instructions.

Assessment: (Were the lesson objectives met? How will they be


assessed?)
Assessing students on their ability to retell and recreate the story of the
birth of Jesus- assessing through anecdotal notes and checklists.
Taking pictures on the school ipads- asses what students were able to
recreate about the story of Jesus birth.
Teacher asks questions about the birth of Jesus assessed through
observations and anecdotal notes.
