The Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office in line with the current transformation plan
under PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 is envisioning to promote awareness to the personnel about their
vital roles to educate the public of a safe and healthy environment. The transformation agenda
clearly define definite roles and responsibilities of the PNP that must be performed to encourage and
solicit support from the community.
Protection and sustain healthy and safety environment are one of the PNP vital duties and
obligations. However, the PNP personnel have less understanding on the organic farming that will
help to sustain safety foods within the province and avoid utilization of chemicals affecting our
environment.
Indeed, to help address this issue, the Provincial Advisory Council headed by Vice-Governor
Peter J. Alfaro, initiated a project titled “Organikong Gulayan sa Kampo”. The program aims the
PNP to be a role model in maintaining not only peace and order but also contribute to have a healthy
food and sustain its availability and sufficiency.
This project will be supported by the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of this
Province and the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist thru the Provincial Organic Agriculture
Program. It will also be a part of the program of the Provincial Government that recognized the
need to increase organic agriculture production as a source of healthy and safe foods as one of the
mitigating measure for climate change in the province of Occidental Mindoro. Wherein, involvement
