Learning Plan 7: Applying to Postsecondary Education and


Training

Overview: Assess Admission Requirements for Postsecondary Education


In order to enroll into a postsecondary education, individuals must complete a set of tasks for
admissions. The assignments in Learning Plan 7 will provide opportunities for individuals with
disabilities to research postsecondary education and compile admission documentation for
future enrollment.

Admission procedures at the postsecondary level can be confusing and time-
consuming. It is important that individuals are prepared with the necessary
documentation and information in order to fully complete and understand the
process. Use these readings to learn more.

Financial Aid is an important part of the admissions process. It can be
overwhelming. You will need to advocate for yourself and reach out to school
counselors and DVR counselors to assist you and your family. Meet with one of
these counselors. Complete a graphic organizer and use when you meet with them.
