PROJECT WORK FOR CLASS X (SOCIAL SCIENCE)

SESSION 2018-19

Last date of submission 16.08.2018

For the academic year 2018-19, as per CBSE guidelines, it is mandatory for class X students to
undertake any one project on the following units/topics:

1. Disaster Management (Survival Skill)

 First Aid
 Burn Injuries
 Fracture and Sprain
 Bleeding
 Heat Stroke
Any one topic has to be selected
OR
2. Popular Struggles and Movements
 Movement for democracy in Nepal
 Bolivia’s water war
Any one topic has to be selected
OR
3. Money and Credit
 Functioning of commercial banks in India
 Role of Reserve Bank of India
 SHG
Any one topic has to be selected

The project topic has been carefully designed so as to:

a. Create awareness in learners.
b. Promote understanding in the learners regarding various aspects of the selected
topic.
c. Relate theory with practice.
d. Promote hands on experience.
The project undertaken should subsequently be shared among learners through
interactive sessions such as exhibitions, panel discussions etc.
* The project should be hand written and should comprise of 15 A4 size pages.
* For assessment the project file has to be submitted by each student
individually.
Guidelines:
a. The length of project should be 15 hand written pages of A4 size.
b. Credit will be awarded to original drawings, illustrations and creative use of materials.
c. The learners should constantly discuss with the teacher and prepare a draft before
finalizing the report.
d. The project report has to be presented in a spiral bound simple folder.
e. The project has to be presented in the given order:
i. Cover page containing title, and student information like name class/section
admission number, roll number, session.
ii. List of contents with page number.
iii. Project overview: purpose, methodology and experience gained in course of
doing the project.
iv. Chapters with relevant headings.
v. Summary/Conclusions/ suggestions.
vi. Bibliography with title, page number referred, author, publisher, year of
publication, name of the website with specific link(In case web site is referred).
vii. Photographs and sketches should be labeled.
viii. The last page should contain evaluation sheet. Evaluation Performa has to be
enclosed as the last attachment for purpose of evaluation.
