Evidence: Consolidation activity

Video “Expressing a point of view”

A. What to do?

Record a video expressing to what extend you agree or disagree with Dan Pink’s
view on motivation using the present perfect, phrasal verbs, and other functions
practiced in this learning activity.

B. How to do it?

1. Click on the video The surprising truth about what motivates us Watch it as many times as
necessary and take notes. If there is any word you don’t understand, go to and look it up.

2. Read your notes, decide if you agree or disagree with his position, and record a
video expressing your opinion.


I don’t agree with his opinion. I have had many different jobs in my life and
the most important factor has always been money. For money, people get up
earlier, work out harder, and are able to do the impossible. You need money
if you want to take care of your family. When I am looking for a job, I always
think about the salary first. I have had many different jobs where the pay has
been good and the work has been repetitive and monotonous. This is not a
problem for me. I am good at learning anything. I just need the right
incentive. In my case, this incentive is money.
My script

I don’t agree with the opinion that shows in the video, as we realize that most
employees are moved by the incentive factor. That greater incentives lead to
worse results, it is not so true when you offer a good incentive. you will do
your best job. Money has become the motivating factor, but in addition to this
is what makes the job more attractive is to say that employees feel
encouraged to get up each morning to go to work and that the workplace
becomes their Second home. In my case the incentive is the money and the
benefits that I receive from my Company, each Company makes each one of
the employees improve their way of life.
