I am writing in response to subtitle quality checker position advertised on

I have a professional bachelor degree in translation/interpreting and have been working as a freelance
translator for the past six years dealing with different subjects: marketing, economics, logistics,
religion, psychology etc. I mainly collaborated with Latvian translation agencies Linearis, Polyglots
and Amado Translations, as well as private clients. I have also translated two Christian books and
occasionally do voluntary interpreting at community events.

Additionally, five of those six years my main job was creating Latvian subtitles for English and
Russian movies, TV shows, documentaries and cartoons as well as translating voiceover scripts for
TV materials. At first I worked with media company MTG Group Latvia, and currently I am
translating for the world's largest subtitling and dubbing company SDI Media. Over the past year I
have been entrusted with such well-known movies as The Shape of Water, I, Tonya, Captain Phillips,
Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

My native language is Latvian, my spoken Russian is close to native level since I come from a
bilingual background and I am also very fluent in spoken and written English. I mainly translate from
English into Latvian. My PC skills are above average, and I am a fast learner when it comes to new
software.

I am good-tempered, precise, hardworking and reliable person. I have no bad habits and have yet to
miss a single translation deadline. I have flexible schedule and can make Your projects my number
one priority. Considering my subtitling and TV translation experience I believe I am perfectly fit for
