Cooling water scheme

CW atleast one should be in service. (Dis pr 2 ksc).

ACW should be in service. (Dis pr 4.5 ksc)

TG DMCW should be in service. (Dis pr 5 ksc)

SG DMCW should be in service. (Dis pr 7 ksc)

Oil Scheme
(A) Oil charging of TDBFP A & B

(1) Open vents (cooler , filter and discharge header vents)

Open suction valve and discharge valve of pumps.

Start DCEOP check pressure rise.

Start LOP and Stop DCEOP (pr after filter >6 ksc and header pr > 3.5 ksc)

(2) STG

Start JOP (pr >160 ksc)

Open STG valve (Try manual STG if its hard try throttling)

(3) Governing control oil pr >9 ksc

(B) Turbine

(1) AOP 9ksc

(2) JOP 140ksc

(3)STG >65 rpm

(4)Control fluid : HPCF :37 ksc , LPCF :10.5 ksc

(C) HPBP pump: pr high ,if pr low pump should be in service.

(D) LPBP pump: cf pump pr :17ksc, circulation pump, RC pump should be in service
(3) Purging
(1) MDBFP should be in service

Precaution

Voltage > 11.3 V

Check suction valve should be open (suction pr = deaerator pr+2.6)

Check discharge valve closed

RC valve opened

Deaerator level > -500 mm

Oil level > 60mm (1.5 bolts)

Procedure

Start AOP (pr 3 ksc)

Make scoop to 0%

Start MDBFP

Immediately rise scoop to > 18%

Check current, discharge pressure, suction flow

AOP will stop automatically

Open discharge valve if makeup required

(2)BCW pump should be in service

Precaution

Drum level (>400mm for 1st BCW and > 200mm for 2nd BCW)

ECW pump level high

Procedure

Start BCW

Check current, DP ,Drum level


(3) RAPH should be in service

Precaution

Check supporting bearing oil level

Check guide bearing oil level

Flue gas, primary air and secondary air i/l and o/l gate should be open

Chck flue gas i/l tempr and secondary air outlet temperature

Start RAPH

(4) ID fan

Precaution

Check supply is available.

Check No Fault is there

Check lube oil level

Procedure

Open i/l and o/l gates

Open IGV 100%

Start LOP (pr>2 ksc)

Close source breaker

Start the motor of channel 1

Check RPM and current is increasing

Also check furnace pressure (~-20 ksc)

Start channel 2 after starting FD Fan

(5) FD Fan

Precaution

Check supply is available

Check oil level of

Close o/l gate of fan to be started

Start LOP (oil lvl >50%,Oil pr>3ksc,control oil pr >20ksc)

IGV should be minimum 0%


Procedure

Start ID fan check motor current, whether o/l gate open within 3 sec

Close second ID fan o/l gate

Adjust ID vfd and FD igv to maintain furnace pr at -10mmWC and total air should be >30% and
<40%(~640 TPH)

(6) PURGING

Precaution

Drum level should be between 250 and 375

Furnace pr should be nearly -10mmWC

HOTV and LOTV close

Procedure

Start purge (SADC will open 100 % then 50% then close

Wait for 10 second after purge completed came then we can open LOTV and HOTV

(4)Light up

Check LDO pump ( RC 90% open and LOTV closed)

Start LDO pump discharge pressure increases adjust RC to maintain a discharge pressure of 18KSC then
put RC in auto with setpoint 18 ksc

Open LOTV and select LDO

Open control valve and keep header pressure ~10 KSC

Check rel available( local switch in remote ,is)

Start oil pair 1 & 3 then 2 and 4

Open ANV then LONV

(Header pressure will reduce adjust LO23 pr ~10 ksc

Flame intensity >50 and flame shoud available in local

Then no oil leak should be there

Put LO23 in Auto pr set point 10 ksc


TDBFP Rolling

(1)Water line charging

All drains should be closed and vent open.

Casing drain, drain before discharge valve after suction valve, suction strainer and conical strainer
drain

Booster pump ,suction strainer vent ,BFP vent

(2)Crack open suction valve

Suction pr rise to deaerator pr + elevation head

After water is coming through vents close all vents

(3)Oil line charging

All vents open( filter vents ,cooler vents ,discharge header vents)

Start DCEOP (check line fully charged and pr rising)

Start AOP after 2 min stop DCEOP ( check lube oil pressure rising)

(4)STG

Start JOP check pr rise to ~ 160 KSC

Open STG valve

If not rotating try manual barring gear

Ensure that there is no oil leak

(5) Seal steam charging

Open manual isolation valve at APRDS

Open root valve at 8.5 m

Open drain to HP Flash Tank before i/l valve

Open casing drain ( till casing temp > 290 C)

Open drain in seal steam header(close it when GS temp > 250 C)

Open GS i/L control valve maintain pressure

(6)Live steam charging

Open vent before ESV

Open drain after IPT exhaut till live steam temperature >250 C

Open exhaust (butter fly valve) check condenser pr>


(7)Stop valve opening

Ensure trip oil p r>9KSC if not available open rem engage

(Even if trip oil pr < 6 ksc change governing filter

(8)open command to ESV

Check pr below piston >3.6 ksc

Pr above piston drains completely

(8)TDBFP Rolling

RC valve is opened

When live seam temperature ~300 C clse drain after IPT exhaust and vent before ESV

Rise speed reference to 3000 rpm(soaking) for at least 10 min

Roll to 3000 rpm(casing temp>240 C)

Put speed reference to remote mode

Close casing drains if casing temp >305C

(9) Paralleling of TDBFP

Open TDBFP discharge valve

Roll TDBFP speed till TDBFP discharge pr ~ BFP discharge pr

Parallel TDBFP flow by rising speed

Then put in auto

If suc flow >750 RC valve will close

And if suc flow<450 RC valve will open

(5)MS pr and Temp

(1)If drum pr <3 ksc

All superheater ,reheater,drum vents and reheaterdrain should be in open condition

(2)If drum pr~3 ksc

Close drum vent

(3)If drum pr~5 ksc

Close superheater vent and then drain


(4)

Open MSV 101 and MSV 102(MS strainer drain valves) ,MSV 105 and MSV 106(HPBP warm up line
drain)

Open MSV 3 and MSV4 (MSV bypass valves)

Check MSV metal temperature

If Temp before and after MSV matches Open MSV

Then close MSV bypass valves and MSV 101 and 102

(5)Charging of APRDS

Open ASV 164 and atmospheric drain

Check MS pr in APRDS line and MS pr near MSV if its same open ASV 22

Observe pr and temp rise in APRDS(HT and LT)

After reaching setpoint~250 C then close ASV 164 and atmospheric drain

If temperature is abnormal check CEP spray isolation at 8.5 m

(6)Vacuum pulling

Check APRDS pr is available

Open ASV 67

Open GS MAL drain

Open seal steam i/l isolation gate

Open ASV 152

See the temperature in TG seal steam page >240 C then open isolation valve and supply valve

Start GS exhaust fan and put it in auto immediately after seal steam pr > 50mmWC

Start Vacuum pump

Separator tank makeup isolation should be open

Open makeup valve and ensure separator level high

Start CW RC pump

Then start vacuum pump

Observe Air IV 1 is opening and ejector valve is closing

Ensure vacuum breaker is in closed condition


(7) HPBP commissioning

Open all MAL drains and ensure isolation valves in local open condition

HPBP warmup

Open HPBP warmup line drain BPV 101 and BPV 102

Open BPV 3 and BPV 4

(See downstream temp is rising after upstream and downstream temperature almost equal

Open BPV 1 and BPV 2> 5%

LPBP warm up

Warm up steam drain HRHV 113 and HRHV 114 should be open

Open HRHV 109 and HRHV 110

Open HRH strainer drain HRHV 105 and HRHV 106

CRHV 101

HPBP commissioning

Precaution

MDBFP should be in service for spray

OSU pumps should be in service

Procedure

If HP downstream temp <100 C

Open BPV 101 and BPV 102 (local isolation valve ) then BPV 3 and BPV 4

If downstream temp > 100 C

Then open BPV 1 and BPV 2 (>5%) and close BPV 3 and BPV 4

If downstream temp >300 C or CRH temp

Then contrl downstream temp through spray valves BPE1 and BPE2

LPBP commisioning

Precaution

OSU pump should be in service and oil level should be there

CEP should be in service


Procedure

Open all drains in steam drain flash tank(CRHV 101, HRHV 105,HRHV 106 ,HRHV 109,HRHV 110 ,

HRHV 113,HRHV 114,LPBP warm upd rains and line drains in CRH and HRH strainer drain)

Condenser wall temp <50 C

Use CEP spray water to maintain condenser wall temp through WIV 1 and WIV 2

Open stop valve (LPBP) and Control valve (>5%)

Maintain HRH pressure using LPBP CV below 10 KSC before synchronization

After synchronization only close all drains

(9)Turbine rolling

Precaution

Vacuum < .3

(turbine seal steam pr, TDBFP seal steam pr,CW pump o/l gate)

Criteria satisfied

All MAL drains in open condition

MS strainer and HRH strainer drains in open condition

TSC under normal condition/MS Temp~HP casing temp

Procedure

(1) Turbine reset


(a) TP1 first out and TP2 first out
(b) Starting device reduce to zero(startup oil pr builds up and trip oil pr drains fully)

(2)governor reset and switchyard reset

*note parameters

(3)stop valve opening(HPSV AND IPSV)

After criteria X1 and X2 satisfied start starting device to (55-60%)

Stop valve will open completely at 60%

(4) Turbine rolling to 360 rpm

After criteria X3 ,X4 and X5 satisfied

Make sure starting device 100% open

Make speed reference 360 rpm and confirm Ramp


HPCV and IPCV opens

TG STG valve should close at 240 rpm

Speed reaches 360 rpm

(5) Turbine rolling to 3000 rpm

Criteria X61 and X62 satisfied

Make speed reference 3000 rpm and confirm ramp

When speed is 540 rpm JOP should be stopped

When speed is 2850 rpm AOP should be stopped (ensure MOP pr developed)

Turbosupervisory

RPM at which vibration is higher to be note down

TSC restriction

After rolling to 3000 rpm

Note down parameters

MS pr and Temp/HRH pr and Temp

HP and IP casing temp

All MAL drains temp

Condenser pr

(10) synchronization

Precaution

Turbine speed is 3000rpm

Generator reset and DAVR

Criteria X7 satisfied

Grid frequency(rpm) ~ turbine rpm

Grid voltage (KV) ~ Generator voltage (DAVR)

Procedure

Synchronoscope ON

Generator breaker ON synchronized

Immediately rise speed reference by 20 rpm otherwise turbine will trip on low forward power

Pr set point and act pr almost equal and load set point 70 MW
Take it from speed control active to load control active in EHTC
