Competency Requirements:
Candidate should have competency proficiencies at skillful application or mastery levels on the
following Core Competencies:
• Reservoir Engineering:
- Applied Reservoir Engineering: Fluid Properties, Oil and Gas Reserves Estimation
• Production Engineering
- Applied Production Engineering: Production System Design, Production Performance
Evaluation, Production Logging, Formation Fluid Properties and Surface Sampling Procedures.
- Surface and Subsurface Systems: Nodal Analysis, Oilfield Chemicals, Intelligent Wells, Flow
Control Equipment and Flow Lines, Artificial Lift.
• Pipeline Engineering
- Pipeline Systems: Pipeline Design Basis.
• Facilities Engineering: Oil Systems and Equipment, Gas Systems and Equipment, Water Systems
and Equipment.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
1. Acting as a technical specialist and resource to the team on Production Engineering matters
2. Well completion design
3. Gas lift design, operation and trouble shooting
4. Nodal analysis and well performance modeling
5. Network modeling
6. Rock mechanics (fracturing and sand control)
7. Reservoir surveillance and optimization (well surveillance and intervention planning)
8. Well integrity principles and application
9. Identifying risks and risk mitigation strategies/actions
10. Close liaison with Drilling & Completions, Well Interventions, Facilities and Subsurface Team
11. Coordination of Third Party consultancy work
12. Implementing project plans and schedules in a timely manner
13. Ensuring that a culture of strong and effective teamwork exists within the PE team

Other Requirements / Challenges:
1. Travelling.
2. Offshore shifts.
3. Bachelor degree in a strongly mathematical or physics-oriented subject is required.
4. MSc in petroleum engineering or reservoir engineering would be an advantage.
5. Fluency in written and spoken use of the English language is required.
6. Current and up to date software capability using office and collaborative applications is required.
7. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required.
8. Ability to work alone under own initiative, or in close collaboration with other engineers as part of a
team is required.
9. Ability to perform analysis, interpretation and problem solving at all levels of complexity with varying
volumes of data is required.
10. Ability to work in a geographically dispersed virtual team is desirable. This will include the recognition
of the need for occasional inter-continental travel.
11. Minimum requirement 8 - 10 years of Production Engineering experience
